Một trong những nghệ sĩ và nhạc sĩ nhạc Blues mà tôi rất thích, hát hay, viết nhạc hay và chơi guitar cũng hay là Jim Byrnes. Thật sự ít người biết đến Jim Byrnes, nhưng tôi vô tình xem phim the Highlander: The Series và nghe vài bài ca của ông ta. Và từ đó tôi trở thành fan của Jim Byrnes.

Trưa nay tôi nghe một bài ca tên Just a Pilgrim của Jim Byrnes. Bài này càng nghe, và nghe lâu, càng hay. Nhạc có chút ảnh hưởng phong cách nhạc Blues, Soul và Gospel. Có những lời ca như từ dòng nhạc Gospel và hay nghe mỗi lễ Chủ Nhật.

Tôi thích và cảm nhận được 5 câu hát đầu và khi giọng hát bluesy và soul của Jim Byrnes hát, và sau cùng dường như đang nói, “With all of the others, we all travel alone…”
